Why We’re Visiting Your Home Today
Your home has been selected for a visit as part of a routine inspection of the installer’s work.
This is part of an ongoing quality assurance programme linked to energy efficiency improvements that are being carried out on your home. Inspections like this are carried out at different stages - before, during, or after installation and help confirm that the installer is consistently meeting the required standards across all their projects.
The aim is to ensure that energy-saving improvements, such as insulation upgrades, are being carried out safely, to a high standard, and in line with government requirements.
We’re NetRet, the PAS 2030 certification body responsible for assessing the installer carrying out energy efficiency work at your property. While we are responsible for assessing whether the installer is meeting the required standard, we are independent of their day-to-day operations and do not carry out any installation work ourselves.
Installers working under government-funded energy efficiency schemes must meet a recognised quality standard known as PAS 2030. This standard ensures that improvements such as insulation, or heating upgrades are installed correctly, safely, and to a consistently high standard.
As part of our role, we carry out independent inspections at selected properties to confirm that the installer is maintaining this standard across all their work.
NetRet is fully accredited by UKAS, the UK’s national body for certification and inspection, and authorised to carry out what’s known as a technical inspection which is a formal, evidence-based check to ensure work has been completed properly and in line with government requirements.
During the inspection, we check for:
By reviewing a sample of installations, these inspections help confirm that the installer is delivering safe, effective improvements in line with government expectations.
Our inspector will be:
Our role is to carry out a technical inspection — not to carry out any installation work or cause disruption to your day.
You don’t need to do anything special ahead of the visit. We simply need safe access to the areas where work has been carried out. In some cases, the installer may not be present - this is a normal part of our independent inspection process.
If you have any questions, feel free to speak with the inspector during the visit - they’ll be happy to explain what’s being reviewed and why.
If you need to contact us afterwards, for example, to confirm who we are or why we attended, please use the details below. Be sure to include your address and the date of the visit so we can identify your case.

Important Note:
NetRet is an independent certification body. Our role is to check that installation work complies with PAS 2030 standards. We are not responsible for the installation itself, and we cannot provide copies of inspection reports to residents.
If you have concerns about the work carried out, or something needs to be corrected, please contact the installer or your landlord/housing provider directly.
